Connecting WooCommerce
The AgentCart WordPress plugin connects your WooCommerce store to AI shopping agents. It auto-generates API credentials, pairs with your AgentCart account via a 6-digit code, and requires no manual API configuration.
Prerequisites
- A WordPress site with WooCommerce installed and active
- Admin access to WordPress
- An AgentCart account (sign up )
Installation
Step 1 — Install the plugin
In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New and search for “AgentCart”. Click Install then Activate.
The plugin automatically generates secure WooCommerce REST API credentials on activation — no manual key setup required.
Step 2 — Get your pairing code
In your AgentCart dashboard, go to Connect and select WooCommerce. A 6-digit pairing code will appear. The code expires after 15 minutes.
Step 3 — Pair your store
In your WordPress admin sidebar, go to WooCommerce → AgentCart. Enter the 6-digit code and click Connect.
AgentCart will verify the connection, pull your store info, and run an initial product scan automatically.
Step 4 — Verify the connection
Back in your AgentCart dashboard, your store should now appear under Stores with a Connected status and the green “Agentic Commerce live” indicator.
What happens after connection
- Your full product catalog becomes searchable by AI agents via UCP
- An initial scan runs automatically to score your store’s AI-readiness
- Product updates in WooCommerce sync to AgentCart automatically
- The Agent Playground in your dashboard lets you test exactly what agents see
Managing the connection
From WordPress
Go to WooCommerce → AgentCart to see your connection status, merchant ID, and a link to your AgentCart dashboard. Click Disconnect to remove the connection.
From AgentCart
Go to Settings for your store. You can trigger product syncs, configure UCP settings, or remove the store entirely.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Plugin says “WooCommerce required” | Make sure WooCommerce is installed and activated before activating AgentCart |
| Pairing code expired | Generate a new code from the AgentCart dashboard — codes expire after 15 minutes |
| Products not showing after scan | WooCommerce requires API credentials to read products. The plugin handles this automatically — try deactivating and reactivating if products are missing |
| Store shows as disconnected | Check that the plugin is still active in WordPress. Re-pair with a new code if needed |
