Connecting Shopify
The AgentCart Shopify app handles everything automatically — it installs the UCP manifest on your store with no manual API tokens or URL redirects required.
Prerequisites
- A Shopify store with admin access
- An AgentCart account (sign up )
Installation
Step 1 — Enter your store URL
In your AgentCart dashboard, go to Stores → Add Store and enter your Shopify store URL (e.g. yourstore.myshopify.com).
AgentCart will redirect you to your Shopify Admin to install and approve the app permissions.
Step 2 — Approve permissions in Shopify
Shopify will show you the permissions AgentCart requests — read access to your products, variants, and collections in order to build your agent-readable catalog. Click Install to confirm.
You’ll be redirected back to your AgentCart dashboard automatically.
Step 3 — Verify the connection
In your AgentCart dashboard, go to Stores and confirm your store shows a Connected status. AgentCart will run an initial scan within a few minutes.
What happens after connection
- Your store is discoverable at
yourstore.myshopify.com/.well-known/ucp - An initial scan runs automatically to generate your first AgentCart score
- Weekly auto-scans keep your catalog data fresh
